The full form of OPD is Outpatient Department. It is the department of a hospital that is the first state of contact between the patient and the hospital staff. When the patient enters the hospital for the first time, the patient is first taken to the Outpatient Department i.e. OPD.
Then the OPD staff decides which department the patient should go to is usually on the lower floor of the OPD Hospital and can be divided into several sections such as Neurology Department, Orthopedics Department, Gynecology Department, General Medical Department, etc. Here the patient completes all the formalities and then goes to the concerned department. Here, the patient is shifted to the ICU if his health is poor.

A sample of Radiology, Pathology, Microbiology, and other Clinical Services is collected in the Diagnostics Department.
Pharmacy
Pharmacy Department is the department of OPD where Medicine is provided to the patients.
